This document provides an introduction to BitLocker Drive Encryption, a data protection feature available in Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows Vista Ultimate, and Windows Server "Longhorn." BitLocker addresses the growing concern of theft or unwanted revelation of data made available through physical loss of computer devices. This document also provides a list of resources on TechNet that can provide in-depth information about deploying and using BitLocker Drive Encryption in the enterprise.
